HOW DO I SUBMIT A PITCH?​

Have something you’re interested in writing about? Whether it be legally themed, satirical, or creative, Peppercorn would love to hear from you. Contact one of our Content Editors by emailing lsspeppercorn@gmail.com to discuss your contribution

Don’t have an idea, but want to write anyway? Keep an eye out for article pitches on our facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/peppercornanu 

Otherwise, we still encourage you to get in contact with the team. Flick the EiC an email at lsspeppercorn@gmail.com , and they will get in contact to discuss and help you brainstorm your contribution!

WHERE WILL MY ARTICLE BE PUBLISHED?

Articles will be published either here on the website and/or in the physical Peppercorn magazine. Online articles are then shared through our social media platforms, with hard copy Magazines being distributed around campus. 

 

WHAT IS THE EDITING PROCESS?​

Editors will read through your piece for grammatical and spelling errors, as well as suggest potential changes for clarity of expression and argument. They will workshop your content with you until it is ready to publish, but will not make changes to your piece without your approval. 

 

You can expect to receive edits and suggestions on your piece within 7 days of your submission, unless otherwise discussed.

 

CAN I PUBLISH MY ARTICLE ANONYMOUSLY? 

Peppercorn accepts anonymous submissions! If you would like to remain anonymous, please inform the editor when you get in contact with them to pitch your article. Your editor will take measures to protect your anonymity within the team and post-publication. Please note that the peppercorn email address (lsspeppercorn@anu.edu.au) is managed by the Editor-In-Chief (EiC). If you wish to remain anonymous to the Editor-In-Chief specifically, you can make contact with our Senior Content-Editor through a separate email address (TBC!), who can process your submission on your behalf while protecting your anonymity. Anonymous submissions are commonly published under the pseudonym ‘Chilli Pepper’.
